I’ve seen dozens of these horse simulators over the years, and they rarely deviate from the script. My Wild Horse Riding Stories is no exception. It hits the usual notes: a small-town girl returning to a rundown stable, a local rival with too much money, and a 'mysterious' stallion that only you can tame. The visuals are passable for mobile, but the animations are stiff, lacking the weight and fluid grace you'd expect from actual horse movement. It feels less like riding and more like steering a rigid vehicle over grassy textures.
The 'story' is paper-thin and serves mostly as a gate for the next set of daily tasks. The gameplay loop is an endless cycle of grooming, feeding, and the occasional race, all designed to make you wait for timers or pay to skip them. There is very little depth to the training mechanics; it's mostly a numbers game rather than a test of skill. For a 40-year-old gamer who grew up on titles that actually challenged the player, this feels like a glorified digital pet with a 'Buy' button attached to every corner. If you aren't 12 years old or obsessed with virtual saddles, there isn't much here to hold your attention.
