Great, but needs an update to fix Needle trainer
Thu Jun 09 2022 Danno 03I have been using this ap for several years now with great success. Inputting data on elevation and wind is quick.
However, one of my favorite features, the Needle Trainer, barely works since the last update. The Needle Trainer has really improved the percentage of perfect hits, and it’s one of the main factors in my success. Since the last update, the needle lag makes it almost impossible to use, especially if any OP is applied. Since the needle speed at the Master level is much slower in the game, I practiced using OP to get a faster needle. Now OP makes the needle lag significantly.
I would have given this a 5 star rating if the needle did not exist.
Nonetheless, I will continue using it for the other great features unless something better comes along before this fixed.

Fri Sep 24 2021 money grab, NOT for meThis app works. I’ve won a number of tourneys with it. It was old, outdated, and not the best to navigate around with, but, they just recently updated it and it is worth it’s weight in gold. All your clubs, with the wind, are on one page, now. Didn’t really like going in to change clubs. They, also, added like 15 bags, for a total of 25, or so they say, I have not tried that yet. If you want to compete in Golf Clash, I would spend the few dollars, here, and go win some gold! It’s a no brainer, unless you like to lose.
And, unlike what some others said in these reviews, it is accurate. I am guessing that their complaints are the secondary wind, or after the balls initial bounce. On extreme elevation or high wind, or both, you’ll have to figure that part out, as you would with any app, as it would not be possible to have an app figure that out, with all the variables that come into play.
Great app, it is easier, now, and I will never change. The only complaint I would have is, my wife has this app, as well. For some reason, it would not open so she deleted it and had to go buy it again. Not sure if there is support, she looked but to no avail.
This is a “must have” for golf clashers!!!

The fact that portion was taken away had NOTHING to do with the developers and EVERYTHING to do with the game itself. This APP is sooooooo much more than overlays and grids. Is there a hole you don’t do well on? Then you can find videos of that hole from every tee; rookie, pro/expert and Masters. There are club suggestions, a super wind direction tool and even a way to practice your release to perfect getting a “perfect shot”. This app was never meant to be one thing but MANY things. No other app meant for Golf Clash will offer the things this one does. Get past the negativity. I run it on my old iPad Mini 4 and enjoy using it more that way that as an overlay. But, I’d be lost without the calculations this provides. Thank you Ian and Zachary for all your hard work. :-)
Stuff missing
Tue May 13 2025 fjubmhjGot app no courses load. The wind assist works and the needle trainer. Everything else on the main menu doesn’t work. Waste of money. No refund offered for non working app. Since it adjusts to account for wind after first bounce the first bounce you plan for may not be the same spot the app plans for to end up in the same final spot you planned for. If you are aiming to hit specific spot, say between mogul or a rough bump, you might not hit that spot. At least that is what I think is happening. Talked with Playdemic about this app being considered cheating. They weren’t real clear but it sounded like they were looking into it. I think using it as overlay on the device you are playing on might be banned in the future. Using on different device I guess is ok???
Needle Lag
Thu Oct 28 2021 Danno03 Green MilersI have been using this app for almost 2 years, and I never play GC without it. It is extremely easy to use, very accurate, and makes it easy to switch bags.
I would have given it a 5 rating were it not for the needle lag that has appeared on all my devices (iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 6+, and iPad (8th Generation))since the update. I do not experience it in Golf Clash at all, only in Notebook. This is very disappointing to me since I use the needle trainer for practice daily and as a warm up before playing GC. I don’t think this related to my hardware (all have >256GB).
I would love for it be easier to update club levels in Notebook. If I update a club, I have go into each bag and adjust the level there. I would like to select several, but not necessarily all, bags and update a club level in the selected bags.
Please fix the needle lag, and I will joyfully rate this a 5!

Sun Apr 28 2019 SnallsGolf clash is a great fun game and at some point through progression, you can’t just “wing it” or play by your “gut feeling” and be successful against the best competition in the game. Notebook provides info on the courses, tourneys, ball & club stats and tutorials on how to aim, adjust and shoot. Information that if many would have upfront, it wouldn’t take thousands of games of frustration and doubt to become competitive. The gcnotebook developers and community are there to promote better gameplay and progression compared to pd’s approach to relying on special balls and spending gems to “get better”
Excellent Guides and Data to improve your Golf Clash Game
Thu Apr 25 2019 KevinT75This app is great and provides a wealth of information. The needle trainer is good for practice and using different balls and overpower to fine tune your needle speed timing. The course and hole guides are very detailed and the commentary makes it easy to learn the how and why of the shots and the do’s and don’ts. The club suggestions for the different holes are very helpful to properly setup your bag(s). The details regarding rings for wind adjustments and power shots as it relates to your clubs accuracy is amazing! I also like using the club level details to see if it make sense to buy cards to upgrade a club sooner.
Very good app that will definitely increase your confidence, lower your strokes and lead to more wins.
PS - who cares about the overlay. That’s a Golf Clash issue and as an iOS user get a second device or memorize your rings like I do.
I can’t say it enough, this is an AWESOME app! $4 is nothing compared to the $ you will save playing GC with more wins!
The best app assist out there
Thu Apr 25 2019 HaccoonSo much time, dedication and passion has been put into this app to make it the best golf clash assistant out there. No more having to print or write out papers for wind values. I use IOS and run it on a separate phone and it works great for me. I bought it two phones so I could also use the needle trainer. I’m looking forward to what else is in store for this like adding the over power shot simulator. That tool is amazing. The app just has so much potential for being more then just a wind assist. It has everything you need to win at golf clash.

If you love the game of golf clash....this is the games best enhancement. Dont make the mistake of not trying this app. Thousands of hours of research went into this. I dont write reviews at all...but in this case I had to make an exception because off the value it provides to the user. Thank you Zachary and team for and amazing product. Sun Mar 08 2020 CatsREpicThis is such an amazing App. So many useful tools. My only problem is that some of the data such as courses does not work on this iPad as they refuse to load. There doesn’t seem to be any way to contact support in app or on their website that I see. The courses work when you go online to the website but when you pay for an app you should be able to access all its features. That being said this is the most useful App purchase i’ve made in the last year.
