I’ve built enough virtual theme parks to know when a game is pulling its punches. Overcrowded: Tycoon has a clever premise—managing the literal crowds and their moods—but it quickly devolves into the same idle-clicker trap as its peers. The emotion system is cute, I’ll give it that. Seeing a visitor turn red with rage because a line is too long is a nice touch, but the 'solutions' are always just 'buy the upgrade.'
There’s no real architectural challenge here. It’s not about how you lay out the paths to optimize flow; it’s about how many times you can click the 'double earnings' button. As a 40-year-old, I find the visual style a bit too 'bubbly' for my taste, though it’s technically well-executed. It’s a decent enough time-waster, but don't go in expecting the depth of a proper Tycoon title. It’s a toy with a price tag attached to its progress.
