85/100

Par 1 Golf is a brilliant, minimalist take on the sport that feels more like a geometry puzzle than a traditional golf game. The conceit is simple: you have exactly one stroke to get the ball into the hole. This transforms every level into a tense, calculated challenge of angles, power, and environmental awareness. It’s incredibly sleek, with a low-poly aesthetic that keeps the focus entirely on the flight of the ball.

The physics are pixel-perfect, which is essential for a game like this. You’ll find yourself bouncing balls off rocks, using wind currents, and navigating around 'anti-gravity' zones in the later, more surreal stages. It’s a perfect 'one-handed' game for the commute, offering that instant 'just one more try' gratification. It’s elegant, difficult, and visually soothing—a must-play for fans of physics-based puzzlers.

Dinsun Review

It’s a golf game where every hole is a par 1. That’s the hook. It’s fine, I guess. The physics are predictable, which is the bare minimum for a game like this, and the level design starts to show some creativity around level 50. But it’s incredibly sterile. No music to speak of, just the generic 'clink' of the ball and the 'whoosh' of the swing.

There are no stakes. If you miss, you just tap restart instantly. It lacks the tension of actual golf or the absurdity of 'What the Golf?'. It’s a middle-of-the-road time killer that I would forget the moment I uninstalled it. It’s not offensive, but it’s certainly not essential. It’s the kind of game you play while waiting for a much better game to finish downloading.
