Partners is a brilliant digital adaptation of the beloved Danish board game. It captures the social tension and tactical depth that makes the physical version a staple in many households. The core mechanic—playing in teams of two where you must cooperate without speaking—translates beautifully to the mobile format, especially in the online multiplayer mode.

The game is a perfect mix of Ludo-style movement and card-based strategy. Swapping cards with your partner at the start of the round is where the real game is won or lost. The app itself is incredibly stable and the matchmaking is quick. If you’re a fan of strategic board games that emphasize teamwork and 'reading' your partner’s intentions, Partners is an essential download for your collection.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. Partners is basically Ludo with a brain. Instead of dice, you use cards, which takes away the 'luck of the draw' frustration and adds a layer of actual strategy. The focus on 2v2 play is where it shines; you have to think about your partner’s pieces as much as your own. The digital version is very clean—no flashy junk, just the board and the cards. My only issue is that the AI can be a bit predictable, and you really need a human partner to get the full experience. It’s a bit dry visually, but for a conservative gamer, 'dry' usually means 'functional,' and I'm okay with that.

The #1 game on the Danish App Store - for weeks!

Partners is one of the most popular board games in the Nordic Countries! Now 20 years after the first copy of the board game was released, the app is finally here!

This game is played 2 against 2 and it is all about getting your pieces from your start area to the goal area using the cards you are dealt during the game. However, the game is NOT over when all your pieces are safe in the goal area. Your partner also needs to get all her pieces into the goal area. So as soon as you or your partner reaches the goal area with all your pieces, you have to help your partner finish by using your cards to play with your partner’s pieces. If you and your partner make it before your opponents, you win!

You can play this game online with family and friends, but you do NOT need them in order to be able to play. You can easily play alone offline or include 1, 2 or 3 other persons online and choose to involve one or more of the robot players, that comes with the app. The abilities and temperament of the robot players are unique, so just like with humans, you will discover that some are quite talented and others are not. One of the robots is actually quite unpredictable!

You decide who to include in the game and you can invite anyone to play the game! Furthermore, you can have several games going on at the same time and you can easily switch between games!

The game is turn based and can be played live online or with up to 48 hours to do your turn.

***Warning: This app is VERY addictive and will surely take up a lot of your precious spare time. ***

Requires iOS 15.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Here is Denmark’s most popular board game as an app!

The app is based on the tactical board game Partners, where you play 2 vs 2. The game can best be described as a new take on Ludo with cards, and the goal is to be the team of partners that first gets all their pieces home. It’s all about teamwork and strategic thinking – it’s not enough to focus only on your own pieces!

The app offers many possibilities that you don’t normally have in the physical board game. First of all, players don’t need to be in the same place – you can play with people from all over the world. You also don’t have to be exactly four players as in the board game. In the app you can play with 1, 2 or 3 other players online, or alternatively play with and against built-in bots whose skills range from very easy to extremely challenging. And just like in real life, there is of course also a completely unpredictable bot in the app that plays like a true wildcard…!

You can also choose to play offline in single mode with a robot partner against robot opponents.

In this app, you decide everything yourself – the choices are yours!

You can play live online or with up to 48 hours per move, and you can easily have many games running at the same time if you can keep track (:

***Warning: This game, just like the board game version, is HIGHLY addictive and can steal a lot of your time.***
