Ping Pong VR (and its mobile touch counterpart) offers a surprisingly robust physics engine for a casual sports game. While the 'VR' name suggests a headset experience, the mobile version provides a great 3D perspective that makes timing your swings feel very authentic.

The AI difficulty scales well, starting with easy 'amateur' opponents and moving up to quite aggressive 'pro' players who use spin and power shots. The controls are responsive; the speed of your swipe directly affects the power of the shot. It’s a great example of how a simple concept—table tennis—can be made engaging on a small screen through good haptic feedback and sound design.

Look, I’ve seen plenty of 'VR' titles attempt to capitalize on the mobile market, and Ping Pong VR is another one that feels more like a tech demo than a complete package. The physics are serviceable, and the multiplayer works if you can actually find someone to play with, but it lacks the depth of a dedicated sports sim. It’s fine for a few minutes of distraction, but the 'full body' integration feels like an unnecessary hurdle for the average gamer.

The customization is a nice touch, but it doesn't mask the lack of varied environments or a robust single-player career mode. If you’re a purist, you’ll find the touch controls or basic gyros a bit too imprecise for high-level play. It’s an okay effort, but far from a definitive mobile table tennis experience.
