Dinsun Review
Dinsun here. I’ve always liked naval combat—there’s a deliberate, heavy feel to steering a ship that you don't get in a typical shooter. Pirate Code gets that feeling mostly right. The ships move with weight, and landing a broadside shot is satisfying. The 5v5 format is tight, and matches are quick enough for mobile play.
But here’s the rub: it’s a modern mobile game. After the first few hours, you start hitting walls where players who have spent money on ship upgrades and premium captains simply outclass you. It’s hard to have a 'competitive' match when the guy across from you has 30% more health and firepower just because he opened his wallet. It turns a decent skill-based game into a stat-check, which I find incredibly distasteful. If you can ignore the monetization, there's a game here, but it's hard to ignore.
