Dinsun Review

Kairosoft has been making the same game for twenty years, but to their credit, the formula still works. Pocket Academy 3 is a cozy retreat from the high-stress, microtransaction-riddled junk that fills the App Store. It’s a complete experience for a single price, which I highly respect. The depth of the simulation is surprising; managing student friendships and career paths alongside building placements keeps you constantly engaged.

However, if you’ve played the previous two entries, there isn’t much new here. The UI is still a bit clunky on smaller screens, and the tutorial is a wall of text that hasn't changed since the 2000s. It’s 'safe' development. It’s good, solid work, but it lacks the ambition to evolve the genre. I’ll give it a pass because it’s actually a real game, which is rare these days, but don’t expect to be blown away if you're a veteran of their other titles.
