Dinsun Review

PsychoFunk at least tries to be a video game, which is more than I can say for some other apps on this list. The 'push the world' mechanic is an interesting twist on the platforming genre—reminds me of some older experimental PC titles. The 70s funk vibe is well-realized, though the visuals can get a bit cluttered for my taste.

My main gripe is the controls. On a touchscreen, moving platforms precisely while keeping time with the music is a recipe for frustration. It feels like it was designed for a mouse and ported over. It’s short, difficult for the wrong reasons sometimes, but it has a creative spark. It’s a niche title that won't appeal to everyone, especially those of us who prefer traditional controls.
