I’ve played enough Trials and Hill Climb Racing to know when a physics engine is 'off.' Puppetman feels like driving a car made of balloons. There’s no weight to the vehicles, and the environmental interaction is unpredictable. One moment you're clearing a jump, the next you're stuck on a pixel of dirt. It’s frustrating rather than challenging.
The 'Puppetman' gimmick adds nothing to the gameplay. It’s just a weird-looking driver that flails around. The upgrade path is a blatant attempt to force monetization, with essential parts locked behind hours of repetitive grinding or a quick credit card swipe. It looks okay, but it plays like a tech demo from 2012. I expected more from a genre that was perfected years ago.
