Dinsun Review
Dinsun here. I grew up playing Risk on a physical board, so I have a certain level of respect for the source material. This digital version is slick, I'll give it that. The UI is clean and the cross-play works better than expected. However, it still suffers from the fundamental flaw of Risk: the dice. Losing a stack of twenty troops to a single defender because of a bad RNG streak is just as infuriating on a screen as it is in person.
The monetization is a bit aggressive with the map packs and 'gems,' which I don't care for. It's a solid strategy game, but the 'Global Domination' mode often turns into a stalemate that lasts way too long. It’s good for a quick match against AI, but the competitive scene is too dictated by luck for my tastes.
