Race Horses Champions 2 is a significant step up from the original, offering a much deeper management experience. It’s not just about the races themselves—which are tense and require good timing—but the preparation that goes into them. Training your horse, managing its stamina, and choosing the right gear feels meaningful. The 3D graphics are impressive for a mobile title, especially the horse animations and the variety of track environments.

The game does a great job of making you feel like an owner. Finding that perfect balance between pushing your horse for speed and saving energy for the final stretch is a rewarding tactical challenge. While it can be a bit of a grind to get the top-tier horses, the progression feels earned. For fans of equestrian sports, this is easily one of the most polished sims available on the App Store.

I've seen better-looking horses in games from the PS2 era. Race Horses Champions 2 is a very basic simulation that doesn't offer much in the way of depth or excitement. The racing itself is a dull affair of tapping a 'whip' button and watching stiff animations. The management side is a bit better, but the UI is so cluttered and unattractive that it feels like a chore.

There’s no sense of speed or stakes here. It feels like a generic asset flip. For a sport that is supposed to be 'The Sport of Kings,' this game feels decidedly like a peasant. If you’re a die-hard horse racing fan, maybe you’ll find something here, but any serious gamer will be bored within twenty minutes.
