If you loved Retro Bowl, Retro Goal+ is going to be right up your alley. The developers took the same genius approach—combining light management sim elements with highly engaging, bite-sized bursts of gameplay—and applied it flawlessly to soccer. By only making you play the attacking highlights, matches fly by in just a few minutes, making it the perfect mobile game for waiting in lines or quick breaks. The touch controls for passing and bending shots feel fantastic once you get the hang of them.

The progression system is highly addictive. Starting in the lower leagues with a team of amateurs and slowly building them up by upgrading facilities and signing international superstars is incredibly rewarding. Having it on Apple Arcade is great because the economy feels balanced; you never feel pushed to buy fake currency to compete. It's pure, retro-arcade joy wrapped in a smartly designed package.

Dinsun here. New Star Games did it again. Taking the Retro Bowl DNA and applying it to soccer was a risk, but it paid off. The shooting mechanics are tactile and rewarding—pulling back to aim and seeing the ball curve into the top corner never gets old.

The management side is a bit simpler than its football cousin, but it still provides enough 'weight' to make your decisions feel important. 84 for being one of the only soccer games that feels right on a touchscreen. It’s lean, it’s mean, and it’s a lot better than the bloated console simulations.
