I grew up on Tony Hawk and Skate, so I have a high bar for physics-based sports games. Scooter Space gets the fundamentals right—the flicking and timing feel okay—but the 'space' you're riding in feels completely lifeless. The parks are empty, the lighting is flat, and there's no sense of style. It’s like skating in a warehouse designed by a bureaucrat. A game about extreme sports needs attitude, and this has none.
The customization is a bright spot, I suppose, if you care about the color of your deck. But the core loop gets old fast when the challenges aren't particularly creative. It’s fine for a quick ten-minute distraction, but it’s not going to hold anyone’s attention for a long session. It feels more like a tech demo for a scooter physics engine than a finished game. They need to add some soul to these environments if they want people to keep coming back.
