68/100

Slay the Titan: Deckbuild RPG offers a unique 'vertical' twist on the roguelike genre, focusing on climbing colossal enemies to find their weak points. The gameplay mechanics are solid, requiring players to think several turns ahead as they balance movement, defense, and attack. The inclusion of the 'Forge' for creating hybrid cards adds a nice layer of strategy that rewards experimentation with card synergies.

However, the game currently struggles with two major issues: aggressive monetization and a lack of transparency. Many users have flagged it as a 'Pay-to-Win' experience, particularly in the Arena, where legendary character stacks often steamroll free players. Additionally, there is community concern that this is a rebranded version of a previously shut-down title, leading to some distrust. If you enjoy the core loop of deck-building, there’s fun to be had here, but proceed with caution before spending on microtransactions.

Dinsun Review

I’ve spent hundreds of hours in Slay the Spire and Monster Train, so I know this formula inside and out. Slay the Titan doesn't have an original bone in its body, but honestly? It’s better than the actual official mobile port of Slay the Spire in some ways. The UI is better optimized for touch, and the 'Titan' bosses are actually quite cool to fight.

It’s a bit uninspired, and the card synergies aren't as deep as the games it’s imitating, but it’s a solid roguelike. If you're looking for that 'just one more run' feeling, this provides it. It just lacks that extra layer of polish and uniqueness that would make it a true classic. A decent distraction for a veteran gamer like me.
