I’ve spent many nights around a real table with real cards, and Snapszli 2 tries its best to replicate that, but falls short on the 'soul' of the game. It’s conservative to a fault. The UI looks like it was designed in the early 2010s and hasn't been touched since. For a veteran like me, the mechanics are sound because the game itself is ancient, but the presentation is just lazy.
The AI is predictable. If you've played more than a dozen hands of Schnapsen, you’ll see the patterns immediately. It’s useful for a quick round while waiting for a train, but it won't replace a real deck. It’s hard for me to give a high score to something that feels like a high-school coding project, even if the core logic is accurate to the rules.
