There’s something to be said for a game that knows exactly what it is. Mint Games hasn't tried to reinvent the wheel here. It’s Solitaire. I appreciate the restraint. The cards move well, the layout is clear, and it doesn't feel like it’s trying to sell me a 'battle pass' for card backs every five seconds.
However, it's still just Solitaire. In 2024, if you’re making a card game, you have to compete with the version that came pre-installed on Windows 95. This version is competent, but it’s not essential. It’s the digital equivalent of a comfortable pair of shoes—reliable, but not exciting. I’d give it a higher score if there was some unique twist, but for a purist, this is a solid, albeit unremarkable, choice.
