Dinsun Review
Spirit King Quest is the 'beige' of the RPG world. It has a king, it has spirits, it has quests. I’ve played this game dozens of times under different names. The combat is mostly on autopilot, which tells me the developers didn't think their mechanics were interesting enough to actually play.
The progression is a standard ladder of 'number go up.' You get a sword with 10 attack, then 20, then 30. There's no meaningful choice in how you build your character. It’s a game that exists to fill a slot in a genre. It doesn't offend, but it certainly doesn't excite. For a seasoned gamer, it’s a total snooze-fest. It’s the kind of game you play while you’re waiting for a better game to finish downloading.
