Stack the States 2 is the gold standard for educational apps. It’s rare to find a game that children actually want to play while they're learning something as potentially dry as state capitals and borders. The 3D upgrade in this sequel makes a huge difference; the states feel like real, tactile toys that you're stacking.

The variety of mini-games like 'Spin the Globe' and 'Puzzler' keeps the experience fresh and prevents the 'quiz' element from feeling repetitive. As an adult, I even found myself challenged by the 50 State Challenge! It’s fun, it’s polished, and it’s one of the few games where I feel completely good about my kids spending hours on it. It transforms geography from a subject to be memorized into a world to be explored.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. I usually avoid 'edutainment' like the plague, as it usually fails at both education and entertainment. Stack the States 2, however, is a rare exception. The physics of stacking the differently-shaped states is genuinely challenging, and the trivia is integrated in a way that doesn't feel like a lecture.

The art style is charming in a storybook sort of way, and the mini-games provide enough variety to keep kids (and, frankly, some adults) engaged. It’s well-polished and works perfectly. My only gripe is that it’s purely US-centric, but that’s by design. It’s a solid, honest app that does exactly what it sets out to do without trying to trick you into spending money on extras. I respect that level of integrity.
