Netmarble knows how to make a shiny product, and StoneAge: Idle Adventure is no exception. The dinosaur theme is a nice break from the typical high-fantasy drivel, and having 24 units on screen during the 'Advent Battle' actually looks quite impressive. Itβs a well-oiled machine of capture, level-up, and gear-upgrade. If youβre looking for something to keep your phone warm while youβre doing actual work, this is a competent choice.
But letβs be honest: itβs an idle game. The 'strategy' mostly boils down to who has the bigger numbers and who logged in for their 10,000 free tickets. It lacks the tactile satisfaction of an older RPG where your inputs actually mattered. It's a treadmill dressed up as an adventure. Itβs better than the bottom-tier trash on the store, but itβs still just another game designed to be played by the AI instead of the player.
