Dinsun Review

As someone who appreciates the strategic nuance of real baseball, this arcade version is a bit hard to swallow. The 'simplified' controls essentially remove the core tension of the pitch-and-hit dynamic, turning it into a game of timing rather than psychology. It’s fun for a few matches, but the 'Super' part of the title mostly refers to the unrealistic power-ups and the stats of upgraded players that break the game's balance.

Matching against other players is quick, but you'll soon find that skill takes a backseat to whoever has the highest-level cards. It’s a sports game for the 'collect-em-all' generation, not for baseball purists. It’s well-made technically—the animations are smooth and the UI is slick—but it lacks the grit and depth that makes sports games actually last. It’s a flashy distraction, nothing more.
