Dinsun Review
The presentation here is spot onβthe pixel art, the character select screen, the music all scream 1991 arcade cabinet. For a gamer of my era, itβs a nice hit of nostalgia. But once the novelty of seeing a Ryu-clone hit on 16 wears off, youβre left with... Blackjack. And not even a particularly deep version of it.
The competitive element is interesting in theory, but the AI is erratic, and the 'battles' feel more like luck-of-the-draw than any kind of skill-based competition. Itβs a parody game, and while the humor lands, the longevity doesn't. Itβs a great example of 'style over substance.' I wanted to love the crossover concept, but it feels like a mini-game stretched into a full release.
