Dinsun here. Super Phantom Cat 2 is what I'd call 'eye candy'—it looks great with its flat design and saturated colors, but the substance underneath is a bit thin. The platforming is functional, yet it lacks the weight and precision of the classics it tries to emulate. The new powers add some variety, but the level design often feels like it's holding your hand through them rather than letting you experiment.
My biggest gripe is the progression system. It’s bogged down by modern mobile tropes—chests, timers, and various currencies—that interrupt the flow of what should be a straightforward adventure. It’s a shame because the core art direction is genuinely pleasant. It’s an okay way to pass the time on a bus, but it lacks the soul of a premium experience. I’ve seen better, and I’ve certainly seen worse.
