The Freezer is a chilling addition to the Hotel Orpheus series that successfully ramps up the horror. This point-and-click escape game nails the atmosphere, using the confined, sub-zero environment of a hotel kitchen freezer to create a palpable sense of dread. The puzzles are clever and integrated well into the environment, requiring you to really observe your surroundings.
It’s definitely more gruesome than its predecessors, which adds a darker edge that fits the 'haunted hotel' theme perfectly. The narrative mystery surrounding the events in the freezer kept me engaged from start to finish.
Technically, it's very polished for an indie project, with responsive navigation and a helpful hint system if you get stuck on some of the more obtuse puzzles. For fans of the genre, it’s a must-play that delivers plenty of scares and satisfying 'aha!' moments.
