The concept of being the monster is always a fun sell, but 'The Spider Nest' doesn't do much with it besides make you circle around tiny AI humans until they disappear. It’s the kind of game that’s designed for a five-minute bus ride and absolutely nothing more. The 'evolution' upgrades are just stat bumps—more speed, more health, more damage. There’s no real strategic choice here; you just pick the next thing on the list.
The visuals are serviceable but uninspired, and the gameplay loop is repetitive to a fault. I’ve seen this exact mechanic in a hundred other 'black hole' or 'monster' clones. It’s a decent enough time-waster if you’re bored, but for someone who appreciates actual game design, it feels like a hollow shell designed to host advertisements. Not exactly the pinnacle of gaming.
