This game was pretty hard at times! (If you wanna get a no kill 5 star run for all 7 days) The title is how my emotions were throughout me playing the game. I was calm because I was searching for games to download, I was angry because I couldn’t get 5 stars and no kills on some levels, and I was happy when I got 5 stars and no kills on all levels! I haven’t played a lot of stealth games before, But THIS ONE WAS AMAZING!!! I can see why it has a 4.9 star rating! (I hate how some people hate this game for the smallest details) Sunday was a pretty cool twist! And the last cutscene made me feel bad for the puppers. (The dog whines were SO heart braking!!!😭) Honestly.. to anyone who likes stealth games, likes cleaning games, and is okay with blood, you should download this game! I had fun with it, and the art style reminds me of Anarcute! And to the devs, (If they even read this) I would LOVE to see an endless mode for this game! You clean one mess, another appears! And you can have options! You can make it a no death run, you can choose wich items you want to have/use, and you can either have daryle hunting you, or not! But basically; the game’s great! You should download it! it’s incredible! (Hence the 5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
To be honest with ya, this is the best game ever since SEGA made Sonic Superstars. And that’s my favorite game for the Nintendo Switch, mind you! It’s about Kyle, a werewolf who’s also a janitor, trying to survive a minimum wage job, while avoiding killing and eating the whole office. Whether he succeeds is up to you, and if you can get a No Kills badge for each level. The ending is when the security guard (and the only friend the player talks with) Daryl goes insane and TRIED to kill you, but failed, and died in the process. Nice. But that’s just the easy part. The hard part? LEVEL 6 IS SOMEHOW HARDER AND IT DOESN’T HAVE A BOSS-FIGHT IN IT. Other than that this game is perfect. As for my sequel concept; “what would the life of our cute but deadly protagonist be like after all this? And will he ever move on? I don’t know about you, but this time, we ought to have some kind of happy ending. And definitely a deeper dive into the lore as well. Yeah, that’d be pretty important in this series too.”
Simply a criminally underrated game, with a really fun concept and enjoyable mechanics. The game is extremely smooth and polished, especially for a v1.0 release of a student project game. I won't count on it being fully free to play with no ads forever, but I respect the effort to cast a wider net and really share this passion project with the masses. It's evident that there's an insane amount of love poured into this game, and the way the app prominently guides players to the broader community via social media links really broadens the world far beyond the relatively short runtime of the game. There's something for everyone in The WereCleaner, whether you love adorable protagonists, edgy narrative humor, a casual game pass some time, or something to optimize and speedrun competitively. I look forward to 100-percenting this game (as there's quite a learning curve to perfect all the later levels). And I can't wait to see what else may be in store for this game and any other WereSpinoffs to come!
It’s a simple game with a slight difficulty curve near the end but isn’t too hard. The cartoony art style is great and the collectibles are a great side task. For a free game with no ads or in app purchases I was already sold but for such a little game full of fun I would have paid for it easy. I think a dlc or sequel is a must after my experience. The one thing I saw the most complaint about was it is too hard but the game loop is learning patterns so go into it willing to try different strategies and understand that losing is part of the game. Over all game length is short if you just rush the stages but getting no kills and 5 stars on everything is more than likely a 3-4 hour effort but really satisfying when you end up achieving it. Game is 100% worth the FREE PRICE and really should be worth 5-10 dollars. I would play again and will be looking out for more stuff from this dev team in the future.
I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy a game this much. Let me start by saying that all the people who worked on this game did an amazing job with the soundtrack, the animation/art style (it's so cute and the gore just adds that intensity to the game). Most games don’t really have a good plot but this is definitely really good. Really enjoyed the fact that you can get collectibles while you clean up and everything. Enjoyed the game so much that I’d love (and as I’ve seen, many others) to see more levels of this game, maybe a continuation or a free game mode where the coworkers just make a big mess as you go and we have to see how long we can go without having to get caught or eat someone. Another great idea would be adding different endings so that we have more to unlock. All in all, I give this game a 10/10, super cute and fun to play, sad that I finished it all in one sitting 😋
SPOILERS TO THE GAME DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO GO IN BLIND!!!!!! It is short, but a genuinely challenging game that ended up being really fun. And it didn’t take me too long to get through the first six levels. I waited till the next day to get a ‘no kills’ badge on levels 1-6, before I did Darrell’s boss fight. Which was challenging took me like 30 to 40 minutes to finish. (keep in mind I was trying to do Darrell‘s boss fight with ‘no kills’) currently, I’m working on completely completing the game, I have all but one of the collectibles, but I only have five stars on the first level. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are all stuck on four stars, And I have not dared to try to perfect Friday, Saturday and Sunday Sunday. but I do have the no kills trophy🥳 I also really love the adorable design of kyle, and I hate Darrell in a good way. Darrells clinical and weird, Which is exactly how Darrell’s supposed to be. The only critique I have is lack of lore or explanations. Like why are people killing people? It seems unclear whether it’s a rebel against werewolves, the werewolves rebelling? or maybe a political stunt to make peace with the werewolves? The flyers with the werewolf crossed out combined with the murdered people and “EAT OUR HUGS” All contradict each other. either way it’s still a really good game that I love❤️
I usually don’t write reviews on games and apps, but it was a great game. It was easy to understand the controls and concept. The story line was simple but I like that it had the player gain a sense of friendship with Darryl the cop. It really adds to the storyline. The time was just enough to get the task done with a little extra time to take out anyone that saw you. So it is completable and not overly difficult. I’m not sure about the collectibles, they seem like a waste of time but I guess they are good if you want to replay the game to collect them all. Overall it was one of the most fun and engaging games I’ve played on the App Store that didn’t require you to pay for it. I really enjoyed it! I hope they come out with a 2nd one or add on to the original app, making a part 2.
Normally I don’t write reviews on games, but this one is WAY different. This game is one of the BEST games I have played EVER! I just got my new phone, and I was looking for some good games to play during car rides and flying. This game has NO ADS which is very crucial to me, because I don’t want five ads popping up in my face every two seconds. It also doesn’t need WiFi, which is a HUGE hit for me, because it meets my expectations and it’s very hard to find a good game with no need for WiFi. The only thing I wish about this game is that it had more endings. It was a very short game, it only took me 1 day to beat. Other then that, this is a very good game! If you’re trying to find a good no WiFi no ads game that’s actually fun, then this is the perfect game for you😁.
I am working on 100%’ing the PC version and am delighted to see a mobile version! A minor flaw I do notice- the games performance is a little unstable even at 0.5x scaling even though I am playing on an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I imagine this may not be very playable on devices from even just a couple years ago and that’s unfortunate and presumably fixable in Unity. I would request that the devs consider tinkering with some optimization; I think some additional downscale settings for models and textures might go a long way (I’m not a game dev but that’s just a guess and on the simpler end to implement from my understanding). Also I think some of us (myself for sure) would love to support you monetarily! If you guys could work something out with your school to let you collect revenue, I’d love to contribute
I learned about this game on social media and it did not disappoint! I absolutely LOVED this game! I finished it in one day which made me sad but I’m super excited to see what the game has in store! The conversation between Kyle and Daryl was just a perfect addition to this game and well as the collectibles! I had so much fun going around and finding them all! Another thing I liked was the coworkers rebellion aspect! That would be super cool to have more to that. I was interested to see where that would lead to and what surprises you could have in store for that! Achievements could be fun too! One thing I had a problem with was having Kyle stay the same direction I wanted him to go but that could also be because I’m on mobile. But I can’t wait for more of this game!!
