Thimbleweed Park is a love letter to the golden era of LucasArts adventure games, and it feels right at home on mobile. Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick have crafted a mystery that is both nostalgic and modern, featuring a 'verb-slab' interface that works surprisingly well with tap targets. The game's five playable characters allow for complex, multi-layered puzzles that require genuine lateral thinking.

The voice acting and atmosphere are impeccable—dripping with eerie, Twin Peaks-esque vibes and self-aware humor. It’s a massive game with a 'Casual' mode for those who want to focus on the story and a 'Hard' mode for the seasoned veterans who miss the pixel-hunting days. It is, without a doubt, one of the best adventure games on the platform.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. Finally, a game that speaks my language. I spent my childhood wrestling with the SCUMM engine, and Thimbleweed Park is a beautiful love letter to that era. It doesn't just copy the aesthetic; it understands the soul of those games. The puzzles are logical (mostly), the writing is sharp as a tack, and the atmosphere is thick with 80s nostalgia. It’s a full, premium experience. No microtransactions, no daily log-in bonuses, just pure, unadulterated quality.

Switching between five characters adds a great layer of depth to the puzzles. The meta-commentary on the genre is brilliant, though it might fly over the heads of younger players. As a conservative gamer, I find this to be the peak of what mobile gaming can be: a respectful port of a deep, high-quality PC game. It’s long, it’s challenging, and it doesn't hold your hand. If you have any respect for gaming history, you buy this.
