I used to love this game
Mon May 13 2024 Discordiax777I am still giving them a 5 star despite wanting to give them a 2 star because I am hopeful they might change the model back. I loved this game, it was my favorite go-to game whenever I had time to fill and nothing to do. Or just to relax. But the last two events in a row now have changed from their previous model. You used to get a chest every 5 levels you climbed, and now it has been more like every 7 and 8. The old way meant that if I climbed all the way to the top, 150 levels, that I would end up with more gold than I started with, but if I didn’t make it to the top, I usually ended up with less gold than I started with because I use the help items a lot. So as long as I completed an event I could be sure I would remain positive. However now that you only get chests every 7 levels, the last event I ended up with 1,000 gold less than I started with. I’m going to play through 3 more events with this new model they are using and if I still end up losing gold, I think I’m just going to uninstall. I suspect the reason they changed the model was to promote more spending, and I don’t really care for games that take a game backwards for their bottom dollar. There were lots of other ways they could have promoted more spending, such as a new event entirely. But they just changed the model that I was used to and I don’t like it.
Need Puzzle Calendar as it’s own game!!!
Fri Jul 28 2023 McMapThere is a lot I really like about this game and a few annoying things too. I did pay for ad free and it was completely worth it. I also buy a few things here and there. The puzzles themselves are great. I do feel as I get to higher levels sometimes it’s easy to get stuck (oh those frogs!!!) and that’s OK, just enough though to make me frustrated to stop playing for a bit. My new favorite thing is the Puzzle Calendar and if I could find that as a game by itself that I could pay for NO ads on it I totally would!!! Please consider that. I love those puzzles in the calendar but the ads to play back days is quite annoying. Wished I could get rid of those. All in all it’s a very good game and I don’t even mind all the “shop” things as I know the developers just want to get paid for their creation. I never mind paying for quality.
Fun game, some annoying things
Sat Mar 30 2024 shelibeliI enjoy playing this game. I do purchase packs of coins and helps occasionally. However, I am annoyed at the card pack aspect of the game. Part of the prize when you clear a level is often a pack of cards. Then, there are preset groupings of 9 cards that once you collect all the cards in a pack, you get coins etc. When you win a card pack, they are random, but almost never are cards you need. I have been playing this game for months and months, and out of 36 card groups, I have only completed 4. I have several groups that only need one card to be completed, and somehow I NEVER GET THE CARDS NEEDED. When I win and get a pack of cards, often I get duplicates of cards I already have. There are groups where I need just one card to complete a group, yet i keep getting duplicates of cards I already have in that group over and over. And they keep adding more groups, making it more unlikely to complete a group. There is an option to trade cards that is “coming soon” and has been for months. No development has occurred here. It is a wasted part of the game and is frustrating.
Typical match 3 with lots of glitches
Thu Mar 14 2024 CashGame$$This is the standard tile, match 3 game but with the added benefit of having a glitch that ends the game early, regardless of how many open spots you have on your tray. You can waste the few coins you can earn to “undo” moves (and repeat the loss again and again) or actual money purchasing “undo moves”, shuffle tiles (again spending coons or actual money), or waste lives and live your own version of this match 3 version of the movie Groundhog Day. This occurs on numerous levels, and getting ahold of support is next to impossible. After contacting support and them misconstruing the issues and glitches to the game (even with screenshots), I see their response is just more of the same misconstruing of issues. The game actually fails when you select certain tiles - regardless if your tray is completely empty or not. I uninstalled the game because of the ridiculous interaction with support (after sending them each item they requested) in addition to encountering these glitches repeatedly after over 1100 levels.
Love everything but one thing
Wed Feb 19 2025 Mang00_juic3I love everything about this game but one key flaw that I hate is that you dont get to keep the different themed tiles and backgrounds that you have to spend actual money to get gems to buy them with. I do not like the fact that when I purchase them I can only use the theme for 200 turns. And considering im a casual player who plays through lots of levels a day 200 isn’t very much fun if I have to keep buying gems to use the cute themes over and over again. They should be permanent if you are charging real money to use them. Otherwise it is a ripoff and makes the game less customizable and fun. And side note the ratios for the gem amounts should be raised if you charge a certain amount to buy the themed tiles and backgrounds.
All good things come to an end
Sun Mar 10 2024 Krisse0413I really enjoyed this game, and I got a good amount of play time in without having to watch too many ads. But then the levels started to get more “difficult”/luck-dependent (eg, the next tile I needed was completely hidden in the draw pile, which has the tiles stacked in a way you can’t see what any of them are). Suddenly watching ads became a strategy I felt compelled to use in order to earn coins to buy power-ups to help me. But sometime after level 7000, the levels became impossible to beat without using at least one power-up, and eventually I ran out of coins and I was going to have to resort to watching ads to slowly collect coins and buy those power-ups to have any chance of beating levels. Not cool. It was lots of fun while it was actually playable, but I’m not gonna let unfair level design extort me into paying to win.
In response to dev message:
I gave the game a second chance, and..I stand corrected, it is possible to win higher levels without using power-ups.
As long as I can accurately predict the next tile in the facedown stack, or finish a complex timed level within the increasingly ridiculous short time limits.
For the average player like me who’s incapable of seeing through the top tile in a stack and has to play (fail) a timed level multiple times to memorize and beat it without using power-ups, it’s impossible to maintain a streak.
Be careful purchasing features/bugs
Wed Jul 26 2023 Riotact81I’ve made many in-game purchases because I found it enjoyable. However, I recently purchased the Summer Journey feature that runs for 15 days. I had banked up over 4.3k gold coins (5 coins for each level). However, after the feature ended I should have been able to collect those coins but when the feature finished, it just disappeared and I could not collect the coins. I’m not sure what caused this. I did do a game update before opening the game and that is when the feature was gone. The timer ran out overnight while I was sleeping. Perhaps the update caused this. In any case, I contacted support and after 2 days was told their developers would look into and restore any coins I lost. That was 3 days ago and they will no longer respond. I paid for something I did not receive and while it isn’t that much money, it is frustrating. So instead of keeping a customer who would have made many more purchases I guess I’ll have to find a different game.
Great Game - Recent Change Disappointing
Tue Aug 13 2024 kbeaton83I’ve been playing this game daily for a while, and really enjoy it overall. It’s a great mix of rotating mini games and challenges with a ton to collect and do. In game purchases enhance the experience, but aren’t a necessity to play or win.
Unfortunately, a change has been made to one of the mini games, Order Rush. Normally it cost ten coins to play a level, and you’d get the coins back after each level, as long as you succeeded. Now, you have to watch an ad before every single level or use 20 gems, a far less common currency in the game and you do not get them back after winning.
Considering I paid to have ads fully removed, it seems incredibly misleading and disappointing to have a part of the game locked behind said ads once more. Hoping they change it back, as Order Rush was one of my favorite aspects of the game.
Increasing Greed Inhibits Great Gameplay
Wed Jul 24 2024 benevolentoneWhen I initially downloaded this game, I couldn’t get enough. I played virtually every single day. I have had it for almost a year now, and have spent a pretty penny to advance. It was fun, challenging and a great way to pass the time. However, like most games in the app store, it’s become a money grab. You used to receive 10 coins after completing a level, now you receive a chest after completing 10 levels that “awards” you a total of 50 coins, cutting the amount in half. The amount of coins received was paltry to begin with and now it’s worse. I have walked away from games I have spent a couple thousand dollars on because I knew to continue playing, would only mean spending thousands more, and for what exactly? Customer loyalty and reward programs are non-existent, and an ever challenging game that requires continuous use of expensive in-game currency. I will no longer spend any money on this game
Rarely get a 5 Star tile!
Thu Aug 01 2024 MiernEvery time I land on a bonus card, I continually receive the same blue star tiles, usually 1-3 star tiles that I have already. Why is Tile busters so stingy with coughing up their 5-star tiles even in Jumbo packs? I have been playing for a long time and can’t seem to make much headway in completing packs. And why does it take so long to reload ads to obtain new coins for play? 6 hours or more is a long time when the clock is rocking away your precious time on your timed play. I do like some of the newer changes though, except you took away the ability to make 30-points each level. Now it’s nothing until the end of ten rounds, then only a paltry 30-60 points sometimes. It varies. Work so hard, and that’s all you gain? C’mon! Also, explain the rules of the new Carnival please. Nothing worse than seeing a new aspect of the game without rules.
