Just stopped for no reason. Please help
Sat Sep 28 2024 Frankafroo13I have been playing Tile Family for about 6 months now and thoroughly enjoy this game. It is challenging, fun and relaxing at times. I even paid to not have ads, would buy tools and coins. If I like a game I don’t mind paying some. I had gotten up to about level 639 or somewhere around there and in the middle of a game it froze. I got out of it and thought I would just start that level again but when I tried it would not load. It would go to the Tile Family screen and then the screen where she is on the swing it would say LOADING… and then nothing. I sent a message to your company support through the App Store. For about a week I kept trying hoping it would load but nothing happened. I hadn’t heard anything from your company so reluctantly deleted it. I have started over and it downloaded without a problem. I am on level 16 again. I spent a lot of time and money, and I’m not complaining, because as I said earlier I REALLY love this game, but when I deleted it I also lost a lot of coins and tools. I am going to give it one more try and hoping if I ever get back to the 600’s it won’t happen again. Is there anyway I could be compensated for my loss? Thank you please respond Debbie, North Carolina
I love this game
Fri Feb 14 2025 LeifulongThis is one of the games that have me coming back after taking a break from it every now and then after trying out others. Definitely one of the best f2p games that is not a cash grab. I can also see the subtle improvements over time that makes quite a difference for the player. You can tell that the developers actually care for the player experience.
My reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is listed below.
I have only a couple of suggestions that will make a huge difference for me.
1. Please add an option to disable animations. They are unnecessary in my opinion, but wastes so much time, especially when you have a time limited bonus active.
2. Please figure out a way to differentiate the depth levels of the tile layers. Too often I picked a tile, expecting to use the tile underneath to clear the set, only to find that it's actually several layers below. This is extremely frustrating with no way to undo without using a valuable undo tool, and quite unfair to the player. A possible suggestion is perhaps using a different gradation of darkening for deeper tiles.
Fun game … BUT
Sun Nov 05 2023 ShangriLA36I really enjoyed this game! Great levels, challenges, generous rewards, etc! Like some other reviewers said - after a certain amount of levels, things got pretty frustrating. Hard and Super hard levels started popping up, which of course made you use power ups and special skills - all designed to make you purchase more power ups.
Then at a certain level ADs start popping up after every level. Most of the time your choices are: automatic ads *sometimes with the fwd arrows to end it earlier, OR you can choose to watch the full AD for extra coins, OR you can choose Home button which takes you to ADs between levels, there is no longer levels without ads.
There are race and timed challenges that are interrupted with ADs so sometimes it’s impossible to win against people who obviously have paid for no ads… or bots.
A developer response to someone who posted earlier was “we rely on ads , etc… thank you for your understanding.”
Well, so many ads all the time makes it really frustrating to play. I had to delete due to lack of enjoyment because of so many ads that even interrupting gameplay in the middle of puzzles. Please reduce the ads. Thank YOU for your understanding.
Very expensive
Sun Jan 28 2024 medicrn777I’ve never written a review for a game before. I have to let people know that you will spend a lot of money on this. You can buy a disc for a game for 40 bucks and play it as many times as you’ like. I’ve spent way more than that on this game. If you don’t buy the packs then you are threatened to lose all your bonuses. This game is so fun but unfortunately the game developers take advantage of a persons internal need to help others. It’s very expensive to progress in the higher levels. The awards appear to be very generous but it also uses a generous amount to move forward and finish the story. You actually receive a lot of helpers but you can use them all up on one difficult tile board that I believe is very intentional so you would pay the money. It takes 900 coins to progress and the next tier of help is 2900 coins. Before you know it you have no coins and they immediately want you to buy an expensive pack for a small amount of help.
Eff the ads!!
Mon Aug 04 2025 EffDJTWhy would you charge people but also force them to sit through ads? In a game like this every second counts. They will have ads at the most inopportune times so you miss out on being able to double or triple or be able to benefit from doubling the points that you get from a super hard level. Because of the ads it has repeatedly cost me points, coins, prizes. This game would be so much more enjoyable if they got rid of the ads. Or at least compensate for the ads by reducing the fees that they charge. Which by the way are ridiculous. It’s not a good deal. Even the so-called deals are not good deals. This game is predatory. And they’re trying to rip you off. This game though has so much promise. If only the people behind it would become ethical. And also forget reaching out to customer service or Technical Support. They will not respond to you. I know it’s tempting to spend money in this game, but I strongly encourage you not to do it. It’s a very slippery slope. And again you don’t really get any real benefit from buying any of the stuff that they offer. Just delete the game, reinstall it and start over.
Slow to add more games
Sat May 04 2024 Eldean19Update: The highest level changed from 6701 to 6801. I took away one rating star because the developers are doing the bare minimum to improve Family Tile. I’ve spent a lot of money on this game but it is not fun anymore because of the meager number of levels and scenarios, and the fact that a person cannot start at the first level again without losing previously accumulated points.
Previous review (3 stars): It was fun while it lasted but I’ve completed the available games. I keep looking for new games to drop. It seems a couple are added after around two weeks. I have to keep looking at the App Store because there is not an update button within the app. I wish there was a way to replay past games but once they are done, that’s it. I kept playing the game because I enjoyed it but I reached the last playable level which is Level 6701, and the game has locked up. I wish the developers would enable going back to Level 1 without losing accumulated stars and coins, and also increase the maximum number of levels.
So confused….
Tue Jun 11 2024 Kay2K01This game is a really fun game. I watched ads for the game while playing other games and one of the things that sold me was the ad said this particular game was an ad-free game. I totally fell for the “ooskie” because this supposed “ad-free” game HAS ADS!!! As much as I like this game and as far as I have gotten in only 2 days of playing this game, I believe I will be deleting the game. I’m NOT a fan of “false advertising” or lying. The “ad-free” lie was unnecessary. If you have developed a good game with in-app purchases for the consumer, which I will NOT be purchasing, and other things the developer believes the consumer will appreciate, why lie about something as simple as having a so called “ad-free” game???? It’s bad when a game developer is so uncertain about their product, they need to “lure”
consumers with lies. Nice try and nice game, but thanks for opening my eyes and allowing me to make sure I don’t fal for that “ooskie” again. By the way, “ooskie” is MY word and you don’t have my permission to steal it to lure consumers to installing your game in which you have flat out lied.
Stars need to be easier to get!
Tue Jan 02 2024 Wintergirl47Love this game!! But I’m pretty sure as I progress I’m not going to love it, since only one star is awarded for each game played and this only gets progressively worse as the levels increase. Levels are now taking way too many games to fix each object, with 5-6 objects needing fixing per story. Ridiculous. My solution has been to delete the app. It starts over then, but you get real tired of the same stories. I agree with others who have said to give more stars for harder games and include stars in awards! If you don’t I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s just going to give up.
Got up to Level around 1943 and thought I was in heaven and would stay with the game because for the next two stories the stars needed to fix each item were back to mid single digits. WRONG! Wish I could add a photo. I’m looking at 46 stars to fix the next scene. While I hate to experience the same stories again, I will delete the game and reload. You are up to 14 stars to fix a tiny table in a room. Just no.
Don’t buy Ad Removal
Sun Sep 29 2024 GabrielHardtHere’s my experience when it comes to this game.
First off, I loved this game enough to remove ads so I can play without being disturbed. That is the only benefit to removing ads.
HOWEVER, the benefit you LOSE when removing ads is that when you lose, you no longer receive the option to continue your game session by watching an ad. Which I know was added as an option not too long ago.
But now, you are stuck with needing to pay a devastating amount of coins to save your session. And you don’t earn enough coins per game to always afford the 900 coins. (Side note: I hate how expensive the cost is and that it increases each time you need to save.)
From a competitive perspective, people who buy Ad Removal are at a disadvantage as they cannot simply watch an ad to continue their session while people who do have ads on can watch a bunch of ads to get them the First Try bonus.
To balance this, why not let people purchase ad removal to stop the annoying pop-up ads but still offer it as an an alternative option to continue our game session? Maybe even have it set up as a toggle option? If someone says no, then it’s a no.
I’m not gonna get into any other issues that I see in the game for the moment but as of right now. I just want to warn people about what they’re losing if they purchase the ad removal option.
Child Endangerment is NOT Entertaining!
Wed Jun 28 2023 TheresaAnnaleeI’ll start off by saying that the tile puzzles themselves are very fun and play just like the ads show. Unfortunately, this app uses a lot of domestic abuse and child endangerment as storytelling devices, which honestly seems counterintuitive to its relaxing and puzzling gameplay. By commodifying sensitive topics such as these, developers run the risk of desensitizing young players to topics of abandonment and abuse which in the long run can impact their ability to identify real life red flags or might prevent them from speaking up if they’ve grown to believe this is normalized behavior.
A much lighter and smaller con is that after you finish a level, the animations for the rewards you receive for finishing a level take long enough that it’s annoying to sit and wait for them to finish so you can start the next level. It would be better if there were an option to move straight into the next level.
Im not sure yet if I’ll keep playing. There are the makings of a decent game here with fun, bright graphics that are weighed down by inappropriately dark stories.
