Fun game … BUT
Sun Nov 05 2023 ShangriLA36I really enjoyed this game! Great levels, challenges, generous rewards, etc! Like some other reviewers said - after a certain amount of levels, things got pretty frustrating. Hard and Super hard levels started popping up, which of course made you use power ups and special skills - all designed to make you purchase more power ups.
Then at a certain level ADs start popping up after every level. Most of the time your choices are: automatic ads *sometimes with the fwd arrows to end it earlier, OR you can choose to watch the full AD for extra coins, OR you can choose Home button which takes you to ADs between levels, there is no longer levels without ads.
There are race and timed challenges that are interrupted with ADs so sometimes it’s impossible to win against people who obviously have paid for no ads… or bots.
A developer response to someone who posted earlier was “we rely on ads , etc… thank you for your understanding.”
Well, so many ads all the time makes it really frustrating to play. I had to delete due to lack of enjoyment because of so many ads that even interrupting gameplay in the middle of puzzles. Please reduce the ads. Thank YOU for your understanding.
Great game, but…
Tue Jul 23 2024 atariatariThis game is fun and honestly pretty addictive in a good way. For some reason the scenes in each story really makes me strive to “fix the problem”. But the problems I have is with the ads. Not that they gain support from ads, but that I keep getting on specific ad for another app called My Passion: Romance Books, which is advertised as a romance story app.
The problem is - the ad itself is pretty offensive. The story that sits on your screen for over 30 seconds is an awful example of toxic masculinity and could easily be interpreted as condoning abuse as one character threatens another. This ad is on repeat during the game. It appears all the time and in some cases is the only add you see for days. After the main part has passed your left with a screen to a different story that forces you to scroll up and looks to be a story of a girl one day from turning 18 who is fantasizing about an upcoming escapade. It’s disturbing to me. Look. I don’t care what people want to read, but being forced to see this ad over and over is a bit much. The only way to “stop” that is to pay a fee. If you’re going to allow ads, all good, but this game is rated 4+ I believe and that ad certainly isn’t.
Very expensive
Sun Jan 28 2024 medicrn777I’ve never written a review for a game before. I have to let people know that you will spend a lot of money on this. You can buy a disc for a game for 40 bucks and play it as many times as you’ like. I’ve spent way more than that on this game. If you don’t buy the packs then you are threatened to lose all your bonuses. This game is so fun but unfortunately the game developers take advantage of a persons internal need to help others. It’s very expensive to progress in the higher levels. The awards appear to be very generous but it also uses a generous amount to move forward and finish the story. You actually receive a lot of helpers but you can use them all up on one difficult tile board that I believe is very intentional so you would pay the money. It takes 900 coins to progress and the next tier of help is 2900 coins. Before you know it you have no coins and they immediately want you to buy an expensive pack for a small amount of help.
Slow to add more games
Sat May 04 2024 Eldean19Update: The highest level changed from 6701 to 6801. I took away one rating star because the developers are doing the bare minimum to improve Family Tile. I’ve spent a lot of money on this game but it is not fun anymore because of the meager number of levels and scenarios, and the fact that a person cannot start at the first level again without losing previously accumulated points.
Previous review (3 stars): It was fun while it lasted but I’ve completed the available games. I keep looking for new games to drop. It seems a couple are added after around two weeks. I have to keep looking at the App Store because there is not an update button within the app. I wish there was a way to replay past games but once they are done, that’s it. I kept playing the game because I enjoyed it but I reached the last playable level which is Level 6701, and the game has locked up. I wish the developers would enable going back to Level 1 without losing accumulated stars and coins, and also increase the maximum number of levels.
So confused….
Tue Jun 11 2024 Kay2K01This game is a really fun game. I watched ads for the game while playing other games and one of the things that sold me was the ad said this particular game was an ad-free game. I totally fell for the “ooskie” because this supposed “ad-free” game HAS ADS!!! As much as I like this game and as far as I have gotten in only 2 days of playing this game, I believe I will be deleting the game. I’m NOT a fan of “false advertising” or lying. The “ad-free” lie was unnecessary. If you have developed a good game with in-app purchases for the consumer, which I will NOT be purchasing, and other things the developer believes the consumer will appreciate, why lie about something as simple as having a so called “ad-free” game???? It’s bad when a game developer is so uncertain about their product, they need to “lure”
consumers with lies. Nice try and nice game, but thanks for opening my eyes and allowing me to make sure I don’t fal for that “ooskie” again. By the way, “ooskie” is MY word and you don’t have my permission to steal it to lure consumers to installing your game in which you have flat out lied.
Stars need to be easier to get!
Tue Jan 02 2024 Wintergirl47Love this game!! But I’m pretty sure as I progress I’m not going to love it, since only one star is awarded for each game played and this only gets progressively worse as the levels increase. Levels are now taking way too many games to fix each object, with 5-6 objects needing fixing per story. Ridiculous. My solution has been to delete the app. It starts over then, but you get real tired of the same stories. I agree with others who have said to give more stars for harder games and include stars in awards! If you don’t I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s just going to give up.
Got up to Level around 1943 and thought I was in heaven and would stay with the game because for the next two stories the stars needed to fix each item were back to mid single digits. WRONG! Wish I could add a photo. I’m looking at 46 stars to fix the next scene. While I hate to experience the same stories again, I will delete the game and reload. You are up to 14 stars to fix a tiny table in a room. Just no.
It’s alright but a lot of problems
Tue Jun 18 2024 Rats are awsomeThere’s a glitch where the game cannot load a I offloaded it and re downloaded it but it’s not fixed I don’t want to lose my progress it also brings you into an unsettling feeling and brings you into happy abandoned children like why are the children so happy in this situation also I have heard that the games get so hard you need to spend money the adds are okay tho their just a bit irritating they come like after a level and sometime other random times tho it is pretty relaxing and a nice game so I think it gets two not one star but not really better because I know there other problems I recommend looking at other reviews not just this one please fix the bugs have a good rest of your life. I hope you will have a lucky day tomorrow and I’m lucky so my wish of you having a good day probably will come true. ( also if you like these tile games get tripple tile match:Match puzzle game (it has 4.9 stars it’s goood))
Child Endangerment is NOT Entertaining!
Wed Jun 28 2023 TheresaAnnaleeI’ll start off by saying that the tile puzzles themselves are very fun and play just like the ads show. Unfortunately, this app uses a lot of domestic abuse and child endangerment as storytelling devices, which honestly seems counterintuitive to its relaxing and puzzling gameplay. By commodifying sensitive topics such as these, developers run the risk of desensitizing young players to topics of abandonment and abuse which in the long run can impact their ability to identify real life red flags or might prevent them from speaking up if they’ve grown to believe this is normalized behavior.
A much lighter and smaller con is that after you finish a level, the animations for the rewards you receive for finishing a level take long enough that it’s annoying to sit and wait for them to finish so you can start the next level. It would be better if there were an option to move straight into the next level.
Im not sure yet if I’ll keep playing. There are the makings of a decent game here with fun, bright graphics that are weighed down by inappropriately dark stories.
Where’s my stuff ??
Wed Jan 03 2024 KlfCaliI really enjoy this game except for one thing. When I make purchases or if I’ve earned the options where you have the claw the magnet and so on, I’m not getting them if I spend $9.99 I expect to receive the items I’ve purchased, which I have not. Airee occasions any helpful icons I’ve earned I might get one. I’ve stopped trying for the golden clovers because I never get those rewards. It shows as if they’re going into my game but when I go to my game they are not there. I enjoy the game and rarely need to use these options but if I spent my money for them, I expect them to be there when I want them. I would like my $9.99 back since I did not receive one of those options outside of the 3000 coins. This is a great game but if you don’t fix this glitch and refund me either my money or those helpful icons as the claw magnet and reverse one, etc. then I’m going to give you another review with a one warning people not to come and play your game.
So not punitive!
Sun Jun 04 2023 LeowahineUpdate: Level 370. Well, it was too good to be true. The game has changed now and at this level it’s ads, ads, ads. And rudely enough there’s no button to silence the ads. So many ads are popping up that my phone is overheating! I’m sad to do it but I’m deleting this game. The overheating is just bad.
First review: Every single game I’ve recently tried has punished me for playing their creation by forcing me to submit to obnoxious (I’m not kidding or exaggerating either!) ads that are stressful and can’t be silenced! I play for fun. I don’t like being abused and this game is the kind I like. It’s challenging, has good story lines and strategy and leaves me feeling good because I’m helping the people in the stories. It’s rewarding me for playing. As a lifelong gamer I believe that this is the point of gaming. I want to feel rewarded for my efforts and I especially want to have fun to reduce my stress, anxiety and upset in this new world we all find ourselves living. I really like this game so far. I hope it stays that way. Thanks for creating this game!
