Our Site Score

81/100

Try To Fly is an oddly poetic take on the jumping genre. You aren't just falling; you're learning to glide using a variety of wacky contraptions and suits. The physics are the highlight—the way your character interacts with the wind feels surprisingly nuanced for a casual title. Every jump is a mini-puzzle where you have to balance speed against lift.

The progression is very satisfying. You start with basic jumps and eventually find yourself piloting glider suits over massive canyons. The art style is clean and breezy, which fits the 'flight' theme perfectly. It’s a very relaxing experience, even when you're hurtling toward the ground at 200 mph. It’s one of those rare games that makes the 'fail' state feel just as fun as the 'win' because of the hilarious ragdoll landings.

Dinsun Review

We’ve been playing this exact game since the Flash days of 'Learn to Fly' and 'Toss the Turtle.' Try to Fly adds absolutely nothing to the formula except more ads and less charm. You launch a guy, you watch him flop around, and you buy a slightly better glider so you can do it again. It’s the kind of mindless treadmill that mobile developers love.

The ragdoll physics are supposed to be funny, I guess, but they just look stiff and unnatural. There’s no real 'strategy' to the flight; it’s mostly just watching a progress bar move. As a 40-year-old who values my time, I find it hard to find a reason to recommend this over the hundreds of similar (and better) titles that already exist. It’s a low-effort production designed for low-effort engagement.
