Typochondria in IOS

A Gamee of Mispellings

Walkthrough, Guilds, Tips on this special game

Our Site Score

85/100

Typochondria is a clever and stressful delight for anyone who has ever felt the urge to reach for a red pen. By gamifying the act of proofreading, it turns what is usually a tedious chore into a high-octane arcade challenge. The premise—acting as a book editor on a deadline—provides just the right amount of pressure to make every typo you spot feel like a victory and every missed comma feel like a minor tragedy.

The game's difficulty curve is expertly tuned. It starts with obvious misspellings that anyone can catch, but quickly escalates to subtle grammatical nuances like 'their' vs. 'there' or 'it's' vs. 'its.' This makes it not only a fun time-attack game but also a genuinely useful educational tool for sharpening your English skills. The 'perfectionist' mode is particularly brutal, where a single mistake can end your run. It’s a niche concept executed with style and a great sense of humor.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. As a man who values clear communication and correct syntax, Typochondria speaks to my soul—and my anxiety. It turns the tedious task of proofreading into a high-stakes race against the clock. The concept is refreshingly original for a mobile word game, moving away from simple anagrams toward actual contextual literacy.

It’s a bit of a niche appeal, obviously. If you don't care about the difference between 'their' and 'there,' you'll hate this. But for those of us who twitch at a misplaced apostrophe, it’s a bizarrely satisfying challenge. My only real complaint is that the text fragments can get repetitive after a while, and I’d like to see more variety in the 'genres' of text you’re editing. Still, it’s a smart, clean little game that respects the player's intelligence.
