Dinsun Review
Dinsun here. I’ve been tapping away at rhythm games since Parappa, so I know a solid beat when I hear one. WAVEAT ReLight is technically sound—the sync is tight, and the tracklist is surprisingly high-quality if you're into the Japanese indie electronic scene. The circular note field is a nice change of pace from the standard 'falling lane' style, though it can get a bit cluttered during more frantic segments.
My main gripe is that it feels a bit clinical. It does exactly what it says on the tin, but it doesn't push the envelope. The UI is slick, yes, but the progression system is bare-bones. It’s a good 'commuter game'—easy to jump in for three minutes—but it doesn't have the soul of something like Cytus or Arcaea. Conservative score for a conservative design.
