Worldseekers is the first game since Pokémon GO to actually make me want to go for a walk. By combining the strategic depth of a Slay the Spire-style deckbuilder with GPS mechanics, it creates something truly unique. The world map is beautifully stylized, and finding 'Mana Wells' at local landmarks feels rewarding rather than a chore.

The card combat is what really shines. It’s not just a simple 'tap to win'; you have to build a deck with real synergy. The fact that your real-world environment affects the game (e.g., finding Water-type cards near a lake) adds a layer of immersion that is often missing from AR games. The community aspect is also starting to bloom, with players competing for 'Citadels.' It’s a fitness app disguised as a hardcore RPG, and it’s brilliant.

Dinsun Review

I don't usually like games that make me leave my chair, but I appreciate the attempt to do something different with Worldseekers. Combining a deck-builder with GPS movement is a bold move. It’s certainly more engaging than just throwing balls at monsters.

The problem is that the deck-building is very rudimentary, and the GPS part is a battery-killing nightmare. I also live in an area where 'exploration' involves walking past a lot of industrial parks, which doesn't really sell the 'fantasy realm' vibe. As a gamer who values tight mechanics, I find this game a bit too spread out—pun intended. It’s a cool experiment, but I’d rather play a proper card game at home and go for a walk without my phone screen on.
