Dinsun Review
Dinsun here. I don't usually review 'apps,' but this is essentially a musical toy. For what it is, it’s quite impressive. The sound quality is the standout—you can really hear the resonance of the wood and the distinct 'snap' of the strings. It’s not easy to play; the fretless nature of the Oud means your finger placement has to be precise, or it sounds terrible.
However, it lacks any sort of gamified progression. There are no lessons, no songs to follow along with—it’s just the instrument and a blank canvas. If you know how to play a stringed instrument, you’ll have fun for an hour. If you don’t, you’ll just make a lot of noise. It’s a very specific tool for a very specific audience. It does exactly what it says on the tin, but it doesn't try to be anything more.
