Crossword Jam+ in Apple Arcade

Crossword Jam+ is a highly relaxing, low-stress puzzle game that perfectly serves its purpose as a digital brain workout. Swiping letters to form words is satisfying, and having the crossword grid structure gives you just enough clues to figure out the trickier anagrams. The fact that it's on Apple Arcade is a massive plus; these types of games are usually plagued with unskippable 30-second ads after every single level. Being able to just peacefully play puzzle after puzzle with gorgeous nature backgrounds is wonderful.

That being said, it isn't perfect. Some players will notice that the game's internal dictionary can be a bit frustrating. It sometimes rejects completely valid, common English words while accepting obscure ones. Furthermore, the UI features quite a few unskippable animations when completing levels that can slow down the pace if you are a fast solver. Still, for a casual, relaxing word game, it is a very solid choice.
