Sat Oct 09 2021 bblack_68This game is so amazing and fun to play. The graphics are simplistic but very well thought out and designed. There are some major flaws though. Firstly the houses pop up in clusters that are sometimes impossible to connect together functionally. Sometimes they also pop up on the completely opposite side of the map, which without an interstate or an abundance of road tiles, is near impossible to connect. Some kind of semi organized spawning of the houses and the destinations would make it easier to get a higher score. When larger groups of different colored houses start to accumulate in one area it makes it extremely difficult to manage traffic, since all the cars are trying to go different directions. It would also help if the every destination had more than one entrance. It seems sometimes that I have to end up wrapping an entire road around a destination just to connect to the singular entrance it has. A free building game play mode where there is no pressure of destination pins and timers would also be a great feature. Being able to expand your city to an immense size with endless roadways, freeways, and bridges would be such a great extension of the game. Unlimited resources wouldn’t even be necessary considering without the constant fear of pins building up on destinations you could simply continue to choose your upgrades every week that goes by. Overall I think the game is fantastic and I spend hours playing it, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Sat Feb 08 2020 DrDave1I enjoy this game as it is a fun strategy game that I can play at my leisure. I enjoy games where I get to build things so this is a perfect game for me. Trying to figure out the “best” road system is quite challenging. Houses and target building have a tendency to pop up where I plan to continue my roads which adds to the challenge and encourages planning ahead. I have found that round about sat major intersections and multiple routes help significantly. I have trouble getting much past 1000 trips but am working on it. I feel like it has lost its draw now that I tend to hit the same issues. It’s nice that you can pause the game and come back to it. I think with some minor tweaks I would go back to playing this game again.
My suggestions to the developers:
1. Give stop lights a purpose - I haven’t used them in a long time as I have only seen them slow traffic down. It would be nice if they allowed for more efficient routing of cars or replace them with traffic mgmt service to allow for car routing to alternate routes that aren’t as crowded
2. Some label to show which house and cars are going to which buildings (it’s not always clear to me once you have 2 or more target buildings of the same color)
3. Fast forward button. Early in a new game there is a fair amount of down time waiting for houses to pop up or make it to the next week to get more road tiles and the bonus building option. I foresee a fast forward button just like the play and pause buttons

Tue Nov 22 2022 notabadnameThe game is very addictive, and well thought out. It would be a 5-Star if not for a frustrating aspect of the competitive challenges. I don’t think you should have “Mysteries” in the competitive global challenges. The nature of the “mystery” turns the ranked games in to a luck-of-the-draw game. I just played a game where I never received a bridge (other than the starting bridge), on a map that has two rivers in the middle of it. Sure enough, my homes, and city buildings continued to spawn on opposite sides of rivers, and I had no choice but to send all my traffic over a single bridge. I could not get my score over 300 (the bottom 15% ranked). Had my “mystery” included bridges, my result would’ve been very different. You should only “rank” the play of people against each other if they play the “same” game. A game where the players are all presented with the same “choice” and trade off for that choice. The game is random enough in its spawns of buildings, but that is driven in part by where I place my roads. But all players in ranked games should be presented with the same known reward choices (not random mysteries) when the week passes. Being able to choose a bridge, or expressway, etc. . , as a reward for making it through the week lets the player make a strategic selection. Their is not a strategic choice when choosing blindly between Mystery A or Mystery B. The competitive match literally becomes multiple 50/50 coin tosses. Some people will win those tosses, maybe all of them, and some will lose, maybe all of them. That just makes the game frustrating and unfair.

Mon Nov 29 2021 Apush121I love this game. Everything from the deceptively simple beginning to the chaotic mess that you end up with makes this game amazing. I’m definitely not the best player but it’s a lot of fun. It’s a 100% recommendation from me! While playing, however, I noticed a couple of things that could be fixed or improved on.
The traffic lights only seem to make the traffic more congested, I’m not sure how to fix this but so far, they just seem pretty useless. Another problem that I felt while playing was that there’s no sense of accomplishment. Once you’ve beat all the maps, there’s nothing keeping you tied to the game. I wish there were some more accomplishments or small in-game puzzles you could solve. Another small issue that may be a bit harder to combat was how the phone/tablet over heats after a while. It gets scalding hot really fast. Other than those things though, this game is great and I definitely recommend everyone to play it!
One thing that I saw in another review that I actually really liked was a free play mode where you could make and put down your own houses and buildings without the fear of losing or running out of time. One of my favorite parts of the game is building roads for the houses and watching the cars drive to their destination. A free play mode would definitely meet those needs!

Mon Oct 05 2020 Anita B. Jai-nauI actually never even had heard of apple arcade until an ad popped up for this game. I got the free trial and have been paying for it since ONLY for mini motorways. I play a few more but I would not pay for them if it wasn’t for this game specifically.
Now that being said, there are quite a few things I would suggest improving. Like the stop-light would probably be better served as an all-way stop-sign instead. And pleeease could you make the cars turning animation faster. They seem to slow down way too drastically and that creates a domino effect on the cars behind it slowing the whole chain of cars downhill. Another big change I would propose is make it so bridges can be used in the city to go over other roads, so we can connect without being forced to have an intersection where there isn’t necessarily one needed.
I also want to be (hopefully) the first to request a whole new game mode, called “Ghost Mode.” where the cars can cross intersections unimpeded. Say a car is going to the right and a car is going straight up. These two cars meet at an intersection. In the normal mode, these cars would slow down and the game would decide which car would have the right of way, usually based on who’s there a fraction of a second sooner. BUT in this mode they both would continue at full speed and just cross without being effected by the other.

Fri Sep 24 2021 falconflyer317I loved the idea of this game when I read the description which I think is misleading. One of the first things it says is “have you ever thought you could fix traffic?” The implication is that with thoughtful building you can actually make traffic work, kind of like a SimCity type game for traffic. That sounds fun. But that’s not what this game is. It’s more like a tower defense game with escalating problems that eventually overwhelm you. You don’t get enough control to actually make traffic better; it’s more responding to the dysfunctional problems that you’re given until they eventually, inevitably, overwhelm you. That’s fine; nothing wrong with that, but it’s not the game that’s being described.
That said, I enjoy the game and it’s kind of fun. I’d still enjoy it if it were described properly. I wish it were the game I thought it was and I want to find one like that, but it’s still okay. There are things that are really frustrating though. Stoplights need to work better. You should be able to make your own entrances to buildings so you can built around them. And you should be able to demolish houses. I think a version of the game where the buildings were random but you had to build your own house (maybe in designated areas) would be a lot more fun. Either way, game is kind of fun, but not a lot of replayability since it’s just keeping up with escalating dysfunction until you eventually fail.

Fri Oct 04 2019 Konrad CurzeThe game is really fun and I thoroughly enjoy playing it, however I have a few issues. Firstly, the music is just... off. It’s this weird droning noise that is calming for the first 3 minutes you play, then it gives you a headache. This would be a non-issue if you could mute it separately and still get the audio queues. Secondly, the timers that signal an overflow are virtually impossible to solve once they show up, be it because the area is already too crowded to fix the streets or because the decay timer lasts too long after it’s been fixed. This could be solved by letting the decay timer tick faster, stopping more nodes from showing up while the timer is actually active, or just increasing the time needed to lose. Thirdly, I think there should be a third option in the weekly reward. Sometimes you just don’t need anything from the options provided and it leads you to a loss.
There are a few things that I think they devs could add to make this a really great game though. Starting with two lane roads. Have it be another option in the weekly reward that lets you choose a direction for both lanes to face. Next, they could add a couple other game modes, perhaps a sandbox mode that has no timers and lets people place roads, bridges, stoplights, motorways, houses, and stores as they see fit. Or a mode very similar to the current default mode that lets you choose where the piece goes while on a time limit (Say you have half a day cycle to place it or it gets placed automatically).

The game just got an update that added tons of different modes for any play style so the game is constantly changing and improving. Although I was skeptical at first and it was not what I thought it was, the game is unlike anything I've ever played and is one of the top strategy games out. I would recommend this game to anybody because it's very easy to learn, but also will challenge anyone who loves strategy games, and once you get going you don't want to stop. I believe it is not just one of the best strategy games out but one of the best games out period. They are adding new features all the time and it still hasn't reached its full potential. I recommend you download this game right now and play through it for a week, no matter who you are or what type of games you are into, and I promise you'll be hooked. I love trying to get the highest score I can to compete with other players around the world also. Although I mostly play it for the fun of it, I also like the competitive aspect of it as well. Build the roads and the cars will come...very fast so be ready to build your roads! The last thing you want is to cause a traffic jam! That's when it's GAME OVER!
