stitch. is a brilliant example of how mobile games can be genuinely therapeutic. The core puzzle mechanic is somewhat reminiscent of Picross or a spatial Sudoku, but it’s far more forgiving. Tracing the path to fill a block of five squares, then seeing it immediately replaced by a highly detailed, 3D-rendered patch of embroidery thread, is incredibly satisfying. The visual feedback is excellent; the threads catch the light, making it look like a physical object inside your screen.

The game excels at establishing a calm atmosphere. There are no timers, no lives to lose, and no pressure. If you make a mistake, you just unspool the thread and try again. It’s the perfect companion for listening to a podcast or audiobook. The variety of hoops—ranging from small plants to massive, complex landscapes—ensures you always have an appropriately sized puzzle for however much free time you have.

If there is a critique, it's that hardcore puzzle fans might find it a bit too easy. Because you solve the puzzle in small, isolated patches rather than managing the whole board at once, it rarely requires deep logical foresight. Additionally, the ambient music loop is quite short and can become repetitive during long sessions. However, as a digital stress toy and light brain-teaser, it is masterfully executed.

Dinsun Review

I’ll be honest: if you told me I’d spend twenty hours 'embroidering' on an iPad, I would have laughed in your face. But stitch. is surprisingly compelling. It’s a logic puzzle at its core, and once you get past the flowery exterior, the puzzles are quite well-constructed. It’s like a more relaxed version of Picross. The tactile feel of the thread filling the grid is oddly satisfying—the haptic feedback is some of the best I’ve felt in a mobile game.

It’s not going to set the world on fire, and the difficulty curve is very gentle, which might bore those looking for a real brain-buster. But as a way to shut off the world and focus on a single task, it’s excellent. It’s the kind of game I play before bed. It doesn't demand much, but it gives back a sense of calm. A solid, conservative 76 for being exactly what it needs to be without any pretension.
