Advanced Mill is a solid, no-frills digital version of the ancient game 'Nine Men’s Morris.' For fans of traditional board games, this is a breath of fresh air. The AI is surprisingly formidable—it’s excellent at setting up double-mills (the 'see-saw' strategy) that can wipe out your pieces in just a few turns.

The UI is clean and traditional, which fits the 3,000-year-old history of the game. I particularly appreciated the 'Move Suggestions' feature, which is a great way for beginners to learn the offensive and defensive patterns. While it doesn't have the bells and whistles of a modern strategy title, its focus on pure, unadulterated logic makes it a perfect brain-training app.

The Opening Phase

During the first phase, focus on placing your pieces in the corners and intersections of the middle square. This gives you the most mobility once the 'moving' phase begins.

Creating a Double Mill

The best strategy is to set up two mills where you can move a single piece back and forth to complete a mill on every single turn. This is nearly impossible for the opponent to stop.
