Armello in IOS

Board game brought to life!

Walkthrough, Guilds, Tips on this special game

Our Site Score

85/100

Armello is a rare gem that successfully bridges the gap between a tabletop board game and a deep RPG. The art direction is simply breathtaking; every card is beautifully animated, and the animal heroes feel like characters out of a dark, high-stakes fable. The strategic depth is immense, offering four distinct ways to win—whether through combat, prestige, or a darker path involving the Rot.

What I appreciate most is how the game handles the element of chance. While dice rolls are central, the card system and character abilities allow you to mitigate bad luck through clever planning. The mobile port is exceptionally well-handled, with a UI that makes complex board states easy to read. It's a 'just one more turn' kind of game that can easily swallow an entire evening.

Dinsun Review

Armello is a looker, I’ll give it that. The art direction and the personality of the animal clans are top-notch. It feels like a living board game, and the port to iOS is surprisingly competent. There’s a lot of meat on these bones—multiple ways to win, distinct hero powers, and a card system that rewards planning.

However, the 'Rot' isn't just a mechanic; it's the frustration of losing a forty-minute match because the dice decided they hated you. The RNG can be brutal, and the pacing is often glacial, especially when playing against AI that takes its sweet time. It’s a solid strategy game, but it requires a level of patience that many mobile gamers won't have. It's good, but it's not the masterpiece some claim it to be.
