★★★★★ How do I get a refund at this point?

I paid for this game's mobile version despite having the PS5 version. I wanted it on the go for school or volunteering. The game worked until last week. My email can't be verified, and I can't even log into the game through Ubisoft. I tried to put in a claim but can't log in, and there is no number you can call directly. At this point, I don't even care why. Like, seriously. I've played Ubisoft since the early 2000s, when you could load the game and play. If I could sacrifice the perks and updates, I would for a game that works from the beginning. I don't remember what I paid for the full version of this game, but it was my last “empty investment.” This was probably the best AC, as I served two tours in Iraq, and it was nice to see what it might have been like before we razed it to the ground along with Afghanistan for 20 years. When I got deployed in 2004 and 2005, I'm pretty sure this was when I could buy a Ubisoft game, and it worked. Twenty years later, I can't even access what I paid for, nor can I get someone (human) on the phone. So, like my kinfolks would say,” You can have that ‘lil $20’ or whatever I paid for this because it's the last you'll ever get out of me.” If I ever play anything else on Ubi, it's because I can stream it, or it is free. Good luck and good riddance.

★★★★★ Could be great, but so so buggy

I was a big fan of the early AC games, and was stoked when they released this one on mobile. It’s a beautiful looking game, with real console quality, and it should be a home run — if not for the constant bugs. I’ve lost track of the number of times it crashed as I neared the end of a tough mission. Saving is hit and miss, and I ended up having to start the whole game over when I got trapped in a glitch and couldn’t load any earlier saves. Controls go haywire at the worst possible times. And for the last 4 days it’s been crashing completely before I can even make it to the title screen — not even sure if it’s permanently broken. Really frustrating, and sort of a classic Ubisoft move: release something that’s 95% great and 5% unfinished, with the unfinished 5% making it almost impossible to enjoy the 95% that’s great.

I just wanted to launch the game, see how it played while Im in a waiting room. Spent A LOT of time downloading this massive thing, lets try it! Just kidding! Whats your ubisoft account? Dont remember it because you are aren't home? Too bad! Make a new one! You can not play unless you are signed in, meaning you can not play this single player game, in offline mode. Now, Im already bugged, but this is nothing new. Whatever, use my apple account. Lets play. Just kidding again! Hope you enjoy a 5 minute unskippable cutscene! (Even though theres an option to skip, its greyed out?) I havent even seen the gameplay yet, but I read that it runs like garbage... but who cares! Because spending this much time on a game just to get it started IS NOT WORTH IT. Can you even pirate mobile games, especially iOS? Why do we need constant online access. THIS MAKES NO SENSE AND I REFUSE TO SUPPORT IT. GO AWAY, UBISOFT.

★★★★★ Crash and bugs makes the game unplayable.

I really love Assassin’s Creed and was excited to play it on my iPhone. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay feels smooth, when it works! Unfortunately, there’s a serious bug that makes the game almost unplayable on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. After a short time, my iPhone gets extremely hot, the game crashes unexpectedly, or it gets stuck on a loading screen or during missions. I’ve tried restarting, closing other apps, and even reinstalling, but the problem keeps happening. It’s frustrating to lose progress or be unable to get past certain missions. Until this overheating and crashing issue is fixed, it’s hard to recommend the game to other iPhone players. I hope the developers release a patch soon, because the core game is fantastic when it’s not locking up my phone.

★★★★★ Great game and decent experience

I really enjoy playing this game between my iPad and iPhone because it’s easy to just pick up where I left off between devices and the optimization for both is decent. I’m running the game on an iPad Air M3 and and an iPhone 17 Pro Max so performance shouldn’t be really an issue. There are a couple of bugs such as switching between Basim and his companion that can cause some weird moments and unfortunately I’ve had a couple crashes. There should be more consistent updates for this game so that it can run more efficiently.

This game is absolutely thrilling. Please please bring AC shadows to iPhone this game was just amazing. (This is my review yes I do frkn love this game my top game of all time and I already got shadows on my Mac so I guess you could bring it but I play more on my Mac but yea I rly like this game I’ve played on my iPhone 16 pro Max and it performed well for about 30 minutes to an hour depending where I play but I can see the 17 pro being better and better sustained performance.

★★★★★ Crashes on launch and needs update

On an iPhone 17 Pro Max running iOS 26, the app crashes on launch. The app hasn’t been updated in at least a year and at this point, it looks like it’s been abandoned by Ubisoft. I’m a big supporter of getting more big games on iPhone, but developers as big as Ubi need to make a commitment to customers to keep their products in a useable state for longer than just 6 months after release. Update (Feb 2026): Same behavior on an M4 iPad Pro. Incredibly disappointing that Ubisoft took their goodwill, publicity, and money from releasing a full Assassin’s Creed game on iOS and ran, leaving anyone who actually paid for their product high and dry.
