Dinsun Review
I've played a lot of these 'flick-to-score' games. Most are garbage. Ball King is at least honest about what it is. It doesn't pretend to be a sports sim; it's an arcade time-waster with a decent physics engine and a nice pixel art coat of paint. The variety of things you can throw—frogs, radios, etc.—is a funny touch for the first ten minutes.
But that's the problem: ten minutes is about as long as you'll want to play it at a time. There’s no progression other than cosmetic unlocks. It’s the kind of game I keep on the third page of my home screen for when I'm stuck in line at the DMV. It’s polished, it doesn’t crash, and it doesn’t harass you for money every five seconds, which is more than I can say for most of its competitors. It’s okay, just don't expect it to hold your attention past the weekend.
