I’ve been around long enough to see the 'Big Win' series come and go, and 2026 is just more of the same tired formula. It’s a management sim where the 'management' mostly involves opening packs and hoping for the best. There is very little actual football strategy here; it’s a math game where the person with the better cards wins 90% of the time.
The art style is 'cute,' I guess, if you like giant bobble-heads, but to me, it just feels cheap. The gameplay loop is incredibly predatory—win a few matches, hit a wall, and then get prompted to buy more card packs. It’s a classic mobile trap. As someone who enjoys a deep tactical challenge like Football Manager, this feels like a toy for people who don't actually want to think. It’s shallow, repetitive, and frankly, a bit of a bore after the first hour.
