Blobby Volley 2 is a nostalgia trip for anyone who spent time on PC flash game sites in the early 2000s. The premise is as simple as it gets: two blobs playing volleyball. But behind that simplicity is a physics engine that allows for some surprisingly high-level play. Learning how to time your jumps and angle your 'body' to spike the ball is incredibly rewarding.
The mobile port handles the controls well, offering various options for touch or tilt. It’s a great game for quick bursts of play, though it really shines when playing against a friend via local multiplayer. While it doesn't have a modern progression system or unlockable cosmetics, it doesn't need them. It's pure, unadulterated arcade fun.
I remember playing the original on PC back in the day. It was a simple, addictive distraction. The mobile port is... okay. The problem is that Blobby Volley relies on precision and timing, and touchscreens are the enemy of both. Using a finger to mirror the snappy keyboard movements of the original just doesn't feel right. It’s still got that 'just one more game' pull, especially in local multiplayer, but the graphics are ancient and the UI is barely functional. It’s a pure nostalgia play. If you didn't play this in the 2000s, you probably won't see the appeal.
Performance: Runs perfectly smooth. Recent updates improved the online lobby.
Buy if: You have fond memories of the PC original and want to play it on the go.
Skip if: You want a modern sports game with realistic physics or graphics.

Classic physics-based volleyball gameplay
Single-player mode with multiple difficulty levels
Local multiplayer support
Simple and intuitive touch controls
To spike the ball, jump just as the ball reaches the top of the net and try to hit it with the very top of your blob's head.
Don't stand too close to the net. Staying slightly back gives you more time to react to the ball's trajectory and make a clean return.
Blobby Volley 2 focuses on local multiplayer and single-player modes for the most stable experience.
