Kaiju Attack 2 takes the 'monsters vs. city' trope and turns it into a clever puzzle-strategy hybrid. Instead of just mindlessly smashing buildings, you have to plan your path of destruction to maximize energy absorption and avoid military traps.
The art style is vibrant and the kaiju designs are delightfully weird. It feels like a significant step up from the first game in terms of level variety. The only downside is that some levels feel a bit too reliant on trial-and-error rather than pure logic. Still, smashing a pixelated city has never been this mentally engaging.
