Great Game! But there’s always room for improvement
Fri May 06 2022 LharsensucksI just downloaded this game today and thought it looked unique because of its one of a kind turn based styles, I also love how you get your money’s worth since there appears to be no adds. I’ve actually never seen a game like this before and that’s what makes it great, however, I wish there were more types of armies, like maybe you could add military troops. I also thought long term, if I completed the game, there would really be nothing else to do besides replying levels, I recommend adding an alternative mode if that’s fine. Overall, it’s a great game and has good potential, keep up the good work!

OMG this game is addicting and really fun. You have to think about your moves, but it’s not frustrating, it’s just the right amount of challenge.
I love the concept, the design, and how smoothly it plays. You did this game right.
I’ve seen others say the animations take too long, but I don’t agree, I like that you have time to see what the monster is doing and how it affects your stats, and it gives you time to think a bit. I love it.
Tip for those considering the game: read online help before you play, and then you’ll know how to approach the game. The tutorial isn’t very helpful, but if you look online you’ll find easily what you need to know to play well.
I’ll be keeping this game on my phone, it’s really one of the best mobile game concepts I’ve seen in a long time. It’s like a mashup of Triple Town and dungeon crawler. Totally awesome and fun.

Really original concept for a merge puzzle!

People generate your city's health, the buildings create your city's power, and your tanks use the power to fire their weapons at the kaiju. Each turn the city heals a bit, powers up, and then attacks the beast. The kaiju, in turn, stomps around taking several tiles of people, buildings, and armed forces out according to its attack pattern. Can you keep it together long enough to take it out? Survive the battle and your country will unleash new tech to fight an even tougher iteration of that same creature.

Tue Dec 20 2022 IamTempusThalesDear Dev: this masterpiece needs a tutorial. One you learn how to play the game it’s difficult not to put it down. Just make a dumb level that dropships the player into the action. Because it takes too long to guess how it works. Whenever you add the tutorial, you get 5 Stars. Then GOTY or Apple Design Award is at your grasp.
To the player: you need to tap and swap tiles to make combos of 3 tiles to get the action. Tap any tile and match it to its equal. Then the tile upgrades it self and so on and so forth. After you get the hang of it, game is good and while the action is repetitive, its fun to uncover all the hidden tidbits.

It took a while till I realized that the tiles could be matched by tapping them to move them to other tiles across the board. I had tried only matching tiles that were already next to each other. It was just unclear.
The 8 bit graphics are ok but I really would rather see this game as a modernized high res version with awesome artwork.
Plus, a speed up or skip button is really needed because this game just moves slow. The actual gameplay feels so slow and plodding.

Thu Jun 30 2022 bookemdano92Game Stew is my favorite game development studio. I’m a casual gamer and only like to play games that I can hold with one hand in portrait mode.
I love how their games fill the screen without all the boilerplate that so many other games have. They really immerse you in the story.
I love how their games never feel on rails and how they let you have full control over your inventory.
My only complaint is how some of the games have demonic overtones as so many games have these days. Pentagrams or actual demon depictions. I’m glad that Kaiju Attack doesn’t seem to have this.
All you have to see is the opening title screens of TOF or TOF2 to realize that these guys put a lot of love into what they do. I will keep buying their games and keep writing reviews.

Fun game, some minor improvements could be made

Might like other Game Stew games the animations get repetitive. I wish there was a way to speed up animations across all games. Nonetheless fun game so its just a small inconvenience.
The concept is definitely different and fun, wouldnt mind a sequel with a little less RNG but still skill is necessary for this game. Keep it up guys.
Fun game, feels incomplete
Sat Mar 19 2022 beeboobaThe core game is fun and a nice take on a typical match 3. Graphics are cool and fun! Unfortunately there isn’t much strategy as tiles appear at random. There is very little long term planning. There’s no difference between matching 3, 4, or 5 tiles. (Except for how many spaces you clear.) Special weapons are uneven and the freeze ray (that prevents the Kaiju from attacking that turn) is usually the best weapon to choose. And there’s no penalty for your special weapon getting destroyed, you just pick it again next turn. I could go on. I’m having fun with the game but the design is really simplistic and brainless. Would love to see an update or sequel.
Underrated Gem
Sat Dec 24 2022 EoinodonnchadhaThere are very few games like this. It’s like chess merged with match 3 and piece development. I loved the Kaijus and each one was pretty distinct. I think the music needs some improvements, but outside of that the biggest thing is it needs more. Some sea based monsters along with the option of having navy battles would be great. I’d love to see some great dlc on this game. This game oozes style, and I really home they develop it more or make a sequel.

Sun Aug 21 2022 Thickhair2112This is a clever and satisfying use of the “morph three into the next level” kinda game. Unlike some others where you just try to grow and match until you run out of real estate, this game has a purpose and it FEELS GOOD! lol
Usual oddball Game Stew music and GFX are the icing on the cake. Very well done.
Sad that it is the “pay to win” power up “games” that get all the attention as this title is miles ahead.
Don’t ever quit Game Stew! One of my favorite devs ever!
