Dinsun here. Iβve spent decades at card tables, and Iβve seen everything from gold-embossed scorebooks to scribbles on the back of a coaster. Canasta Score belongs to the latter category, albeit in digital form. Itβs a utility, not a game. It calculates your points and keeps a history, which is fine if you've forgotten how to do basic addition or simply can't find a pencil. The interface is clean enough to not be offensive, but it lacks any sort of aesthetic flair that makes a tabletop session feel special.
Technically, it works. It doesn't crash, and the logic for Canasta scoring is sound. But as a 'gamer,' I find it difficult to get excited about an app that is essentially a spreadsheet with a specific skin. There are no advanced analytics or cloud syncing to justify a higher praise. It's a tool for a very specific job, and it completes that job with the clinical efficiency of a calculator. If you need it, you need it. If you don't, you'll never think about it again.
