Carp Fishing Simulator is a dedicated sim for the patient angler. It foregoes the fast-paced 'arcade' fishing found in many other apps to focus on the technical aspects of carp fishing. You have to choose your spot, set up your rig, and most importantly, wait. It’s a very relaxing experience, accompanied by realistic ambient nature sounds.

The game offers a surprising amount of gear customization, from the type of bait to the weight of your sinker. While the graphics aren't exactly cutting-edge, the water effects and the fish behavior are realistic enough to keep you immersed. It's definitely a 'niche' title—if you aren't already a fan of fishing, the slow pace might be a deterrent. But for those who find peace at the edge of a digital lake, it’s a solid simulator.

I respect a developer that doesn't try to make everything 'arcade-y' and flashy. This is a real simulator, which means it involves a lot of sitting around and doing nothing—just like real fishing. If you aren't an actual fisherman, you will hate this. The graphics are a bit rough around the edges, and the controls are clunky, but it gets the technical details of angling right. It’s slow, quiet, and conservative in its approach. It doesn't beg for your money, and it doesn't try to be something it’s not. It’s a niche product for a niche audience, and while it's not 'fun' in the traditional sense, it’s an honest piece of software.
