Sea Fishing Simulator is a decent, middle-of-the-road fishing game. It doesn't quite have the depth of a 'Fishing Planet,' but it's much more engaging than a simple arcade tapper. The variety of locations is its strongest suit; moving from a calm lake to the open ocean feels like a real step up in challenge.
The fishing mechanics—balancing line tension while reeling in—are functional and provide a nice bit of tension during the fight. The fish models are varied and look good for a mobile title. It’s a bit grindy when it comes to upgrading your gear, and the UI is a little cluttered, but for a free-to-play fishing experience, it provides a solid distraction for fans of the sport.
Dinsun here. I’ve spent many a weekend on a real boat, and let me tell you, this isn't it. Sea Fishing Simulator tries for realism but hits 'tedium' instead. The menus are cumbersome, and the actual fishing mechanic feels floaty and disconnected. There’s a fine line between a 'relaxing pace' and just being boring, and this game crosses it within the first ten minutes.
The graphics are dated—water shouldn't look like static plastic in 2026. While I appreciate the effort to include realistic tackle and species, the execution is hampered by a UI that feels like it was designed for a desktop and poorly ported to touch. It’s a niche product for people who really, really like looking at tackle stats, but for anyone seeking a polished gaming experience, this is a throw-back.
Performance: Fairly stable, but loading times for new locations are longer than expected.
Buy if: You are a die-hard fishing fan who values gear stats over graphics.

Keep the tension meter in the 'green' zone. If it hits red, release the reel button for a second, or the line will snap and you'll lose the fish.

Sell your catches at the market to earn coins. Spend these on stronger lines and better reels so you can handle larger, more aggressive deep-sea fish.
The largest species are usually found in the 'Deep Sea' zones, which require a higher player level and specialized heavy-duty equipment to access.
