I remember when games relied on skill, not a physics engine's mood swings. Claw Master tries to be clever by mixing a claw machine with a roguelike, but it just ends up being frustrating. There’s a reason people hate claw machines in real life—they’re designed to make you fail. Translating that into a core combat mechanic feels like a step backward for the genre.
The RPG elements are standard fare: your typical 'choose one of three perks' that we've seen in every mobile game since 2019. While the procedurally generated dungeons offer some variety, the actual loop of waiting for the claw to line up kills the pacing. It’s an Action game where you spend half the time waiting for a mechanical arm. I’ll stick to traditional roguelikes where my success depends on my movement, not whether the digital claw decided to have a weak grip this turn.
