I’ve spent plenty of weekends scraping actual grease off a grill or mud off my driveway. Doing it with a thumb on a screen feels like a mockery of labor. Scrape Master is built entirely on the 'oddly satisfying' trend. I’ll admit, seeing a dirty surface become clean is a primal psychological trigger that works, but it’s not enough to sustain a game.
The 'levels' are just the same mechanic over a different texture. Once you've scraped the mud off a car, scraping it off a sidewalk doesn't offer a new challenge. The tools are functionally identical; a wider scraper just makes the level end faster so you can see another ad. It’s a cynical piece of software that targets the brain's desire for order without providing any intellectual stimulation. If you're 40 and playing this, you're better off just cleaning your actual house.
